Production Supervisor(s) - Chelsea Plant

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the Production Department, including interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, and meeting USDA and HAACP guidelines and Company standards. Requires a 2 or 4 year degree or equivalent, plus 1-3 years experience as a supervisor or team leader in a food processing environment. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Requirements :
One to three years of supervisory/leadership experience in a food-processing (preferably meat) environment. BS/BA degree required. Ability to read, write and speak English. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus. Must have excellent communication and leadership skills and possess strong mathematical aptitude. Must be flexible with work hours and be able to work overtime and/or weekends.

 

Team Leader - Chelsea Plant (1st shift)

Responsible for aiding supervisor in real time management of operations and to function as a surrogate supervisor in the supervisor absence. Responsible for product quality, quantity and adherence to the schedule. To ensure the product is made properly, in the correct quantities, at the correct time as per the customers need.

Requirements : Must be able to operate the oven and all the equipment in the CT kitchen. Must be fluent in English and be able to fill out paper work. This may include productivity reports and other miscellaneous paper work. The candidate must be a responsible and reliable team player.

 

Kayem "Crewsaders" a.k.a. Field Event Marketing Team Member

Status: Temporary/Seasonal: March-October 2008

Hours: Weekends (all day), some weekdays

Salary: $15/hr

Description:
Kayem Crewsaders needed to run our field marketing/trade promotional events throughout New England during the March through October event season (with a heavy emphasis on summer events). Responsibilities include driving The Holy Grill event vehicle to and from events, setting up and taking down event signage and equipment and preparing, grilling and sampling new Kayem products. Will answer consumer questions; execute marketing promotions, give-aways and market research surveys at events. No experience necessary, training will be provided.

Requirements:
  • All candidates must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and be 21 years of age or older and have a medical card (or the ability to obtain a medical card)
  • All candidates must be able to lift items up to 50 lbs without assistance
  • Must enjoy working with the public and be energetic, outgoing, personable, flexible, professional, organized and reliable.
  • Previous experience driving a van or truck with a trailer attachment is a plus.
  • Previous food preparation or field marketing promotion experience is a plus.
  • Overnight travel is possible, but limited.
