Over 100 years ago, Kazimierz Monkiewicz started a legacy of premium crafted meats made with the finest ingredients, time-tested family recipes, and the highest standards of production. 5 generations later, Kayem Foods is still family-owned and operated, remaining committed to the same ideals. Outgrowing the small butcher shop in Chelsea, MA, Kayem Foods is now the largest prepared meat company in New England.

Kayem Foods has called Chelsea, MA it’s home for over a century. Headquartered in the heart of the city, we are proud to nourish and support our neighbors through food, community engagement, and over 200 jobs for residents of Chelsea and nearby towns.
Committed to People & Our Planet
As a national company with brands that stand for quality, we want to do our part to reduce the use of energy, water and packaging and provide a great workplace for our employees and a positive working relationship with our partners. Key sustainability efforts include, but are not limited to, reducing the amount of water, CO2 and cardboard we use by 20% and we are well on our way to achieving these goals. We have implemented zero-sort recycling in our plants in support of a cleaner environment and reduced landfills.
